In ancient times, the Astrologers of the Hellenistic-era would have said that Jupiter was poorly placed in this House. At the time, like the other known planets, Jupiter was thought to rule two Signs: Sagittarius (which it still rules today) and Pisces. Pisces is the 12th Zodiacal Sign, and natural occupant of the 12th House, which stands in opposition to the 6th. The idea was that since Jupiter rules growth and expansion, that it could lead to over-indulgences that would be detrimental to one's health and well-being. While this is true to some extent, the same Astrologers that made these claims also called Jupiter 'the Great Benific' of the Horoscope (a title it still claims to this day). Jupiter's influence is almost always a positive and beneficial one, except of course in Gemini where logic and reason tend to overpower Jupiter's expansive ideaologies. However, Pisces has not belonged to Jupiter since the late 1800's, when its true ruler, Neptune, was discovered. Therefore, the idea of Jupiter being poorly placed in the 6th House has mostly vanished. It is only included out of respect for the 2,000 years or so that it was considered so.
